Post by: GIGOLO on March 28, 2009, 04:38:13 PM
Does anyone know how to test the bank angle sensor?

If it's the same as a 600RR one....
Using an ohm meter - test the outer two pins with the unit straight up (as mounted), then turn it 90 degrees and you should get the opposite reading (I forget which way is "open" and which way is "closed")

Another great forum for RC51 info is http://www.speedzilla.com/forums/honda-sport-twins/

There is also RC51.org but they charge to join up.

Here's also a link for some parts.

Oh yeah, get a service manual.

Enjoy your big twin!

Thanx guys, it turns out that the sensor is fine.  We got a wiring diagram and it showed the relay location, and it wasn't there.  So I am not a master of deduction, but I think thats the problem.  Seems to have flown off in the wreck it was in.

Its my brothers bike, I just thought this would be a good place to look for parts and advice.  I appreciate it though. :thumb:
