Is there a practice day on Friday ? cost? Their schedule says TBD still.
I think the only practice day is on the thursday before the weekend.
For this April, the races are just Saturday and Sunday so I expect there to be a Friday practice.
Yes there will a practice day on Friday.
RCR,
HPT entry form shows it at the bottom of the form but no cost to extend. Do you happen to know the price?
Practice pre-entry is $100 for those events with a ASRA/CCS practice before the event. Additional motorcycles that fit into other displacement
categories will be $75 each. (i.e. If your first bike is a 600 and you wish to practice on your 1000, it is an additional fee. Two 600's would not
be an additional charge since they would share the same session.)
Eric - Same thing for the Road America Round? Pratice Day on Thursday the 30th?
Thusday the 30th there is currently nothing scheduled on course at Road America. If something is scheduled it would not be a ASRA/CCS or Road America run practice day.
So no practice day (from ASRA/CCS or RA) prior to the event... :wah:
Thanks

Hey Eric- do you not take PM's here? I have a question about my pre-reg I sent in for Road A. as I marked and paid for the practice date. lol
-Chris Kuhn
No PM's they have to be peridically deleted then I lose that info and when it is related to money or rules etc I do not want to delete that info
If you marked practice on entry form then you would not be charged for it and Ginger should call you and let you know there is not practice on on weekends that do not have ASRA/CCS practice day available.
FYI the days that have ASRA/CCS practice before racing

LOL! Last Edit: Today at 11:47:44 AM by Eric Kelcher
Ok, so practice is the 9th then.
I already registered but left off tghe practice because I wasn't sure. Can I just sign up and pay Friday morning?
Yes you can, not sure what post entry cost difference is, if any.
You can send in another entry form write add-on at the top and indicate practice
at the gateway weekends the MCRA will be having a trackday the day before the races for anyone intrested
I have a non-practice HPT question. Will I be able to find any power there for warmers without renting a garage?
We were in a garage last year. I'm not aware of any outdoor hook-ups, and mostly saw generators in the outdoor pits, but I wouldn't swear that there's not some outlets somewhere. FWIW, though, the garages are pretty nice, if you were to consider going that route. They're fully enclosed, with the separate stalls separated by fencing, and have not only electrical outlets, but also pneumatic hook-ups for your air tools and a work table.
Make sure to pack a snow shovel. You may need it.
That's not funny... Then again, quite possable. If it does, does HPT allow studded snow tires?
They have power but it is on the back row kind far from everyone or you can get a RV site but they sell out fast. The last two years there has been rain, hail, lighten, strong winds so why not snow for this year. Its not like CCS hasn't raced in snow before in the Midwest
I'm pretty sure there are also power poles 'behind' the garages, at the bottom of the hill facing the hot pits. I dont know how many are down there. Call HPT and ask what's still available. 800-43-RACES.
2 years ago the last 10 laps of the team challenge we had marble size hail.
Just an FYI for anyone heading down early for practice, I checked with HPT and gates open at 7AM Friday and you won't be able to get in early on Thursday night.
How late are gates open on Friday?
