Title: Dear E-Bay buyer....I hate you.
Post by: skiandclimb on February 19, 2009, 07:57:44 AM
To the fellow Ducati racer who keeps beating me out on all my E-Bay bids....I hate you, and will find you. :finger:

Damn the man- I can't catch a break! I lost out on a badass Grave fairing stay, set of clip ons, airbox, wheels.....and I'm sure its all one person using some bid-placing software.  Prick. :spank:

I hope I run into you in the paddock someday.  Don't blame me if there is a new sticker or two on your bike.....I hear NAMBLA is looking to sponsor a rider this year.

I feel your pain, I lost 4 different auctions for a front wheel in the last 5 seconds this winter  :banghead:

Ended up finding a guy selling a wheel in the classified section of a message board, and I'm glad I did.  Got a better deal than any of the ones I was bidding on!

I'm not sure what kind of Ducati you have, but I am going to be parting out one of my Ducatis (748) in the next couple of weeks.  I just haven't gotten it all torn down yet.  I have magnesium wheels, Ohlins front and rear, lots of carbon fiber stuff, etc.  PM what you are looking for.  I was going to give the CCS crew first chance on the stuff anyway, before I put it on E-bay.

I was outbid on many items also, wheels, rotors etc.
A friend helped with sniping but they charge you.
We have comcast and I can refresh the page almost instantly, I'm good at it now and with 1-3 seconds remaining I can out-snipe the snipers if the price is right.
Outbid 33 bidders on a pair of saddlebags for the 03 Fat Boy, 1 second remaining.

Damn... they changed their rates.  I bought in when it was like $7 for 15 snipes and they only debited a snipe when you actually WON the item.  I'm still using those snipes...  =)
