Just curious....and good luck to all!! Above all, have a safe one.
Mine is pretty simple.....just try to improve, first year in expert,I think I'll post reg. first couple events and try to soak it all in.I need to continue to work on body position, trail braking, getting on the gas harder out of turns. It would be nice to drop my lap times as well.I'd be thrilled with any kind of F-40 podiums, although the competition is fierce....some really good riders and this year there will be some fast new-commers.The other classes I'd be happy just to get to mid-pack.I will learn as much as possible and have fun...that's IS the name of the game after all.
Goals for 2009: Beat Jigs in HWSS and F40! :spank:
Just kidding, John! My goals are pretty much the same as yours. See you out there, if not at Heartland, then at Road America! I'll be at Daytona for Team Challenge as well, if you happen to make it down there.
Well in 08 I never crashed it was my first year as expert and I did well, so I just want to repeat that and learn more, no crahsing, good clean racing, and best of wishes to all...
Good luck Roy!!! I'll be watching the results.Won't make HPT,so we'll prolly see you at R.A. Going to do a couple track days,Barber abd Bluegrass in march and April.....see you soon.
-have a good time first and foremost
-get my bike set-up better
-get comfortable on the bike
-get in shape
-focus
-discipline myself while racing
-be consistent
-win
Good luck to as well Johnny!!!!
Not go bankrupt
Not get hurt
HAVE FUN
I petitioned to stay AM again this year...bring out the stakes! :p
This being my first year back in CCS in a really long time, my goals are simple-
1 Make as many weekends as possible
2 Not to finish in last place
3 To do my best not to wrap my Duc into a ball.
4 Not get hurt.
I want to transition well. It's been a long, long time since I've "just raced". I've always had to try and carry a school and racing, and that was hard. At times a distraction. So, I'm looking forward to being able to put effort just into my bike and riding for myself. Not completely sure of anything after that. I want to do 1:12's on my Buell at Blackhawk, that I do know.

Well, I've got some different pistons, chain conversion. I think I just need to sort the forks out after that. Maybe drill a couple holes here and there too.
If you do 12s on that bike I'll be very happy for you.
Then I'll quit, pack up and go home for good. :wah:
My goal is to win.
If I don't win, I better have learned something to win next time.
As for having fun, I'll have fun on the drive home as long as my bike and I are in one piece!.

You'll force me to only do 13's then...
Okay, deal.

So Dave, does that mean that you are just making an appearance at BHF?

Ayers on a Buell? When did that happen?
Just want to keep improving.
I dropped a second or so every race last season. Hope to continue that trend, should help that my bike wont be running like a single anymore due to one of the cams being in backwards. She never did sound right. Since FMLW and ULWSB are running at the same time, I'll be out of Ultralight this year, but it'll still be fun to ride with the same guys.
Looking forward to running the 600 in FMMW. I've almost made my goal of finishing a race before getting lapped by Ed, now I'll just have to work up to finishing a race before getting lapped by Meghan.
Hmm. Who are you working for, Jiggs? Like I'd divulge my goals...
I shall not sacrifice the lofty ideals that accompany A & T membership...
#1 goal... steady progress,
we made HUGE strides on a "foreign" bike last year... this year will boast proper springs, better front end, better rider conditioning, stronger motor... as long as we are getting faster all year the results will take care of themselves.
If Dave's runnin 12's I plan on attaching a towstrap and hanging on for dear life! :ahhh:
#2, Smaller goal is to re-acquaint myself with my R6, been off it a year or 2 with a bad hamster. I'd like to find some speed on a MW machine.
#3. Help those that help me! support my sponsors so they will continue to support me. It gets said alot but its true... cant do it without you guys! Big things comin this year fella's!

So Dave, does that mean that you are just making an appearance at BHF?
Oh, no. I have a few races planned (http://www.team-visionsports.com/schedule.html), but I have a good idea what I should turn at Blackhawk based on having raced there for "a couple years". Really kind of depends upon the straight line speed that I can get out of the Buell.
#1 have fun & improve!!
#2 be safe...I'm pretty much done with all the falling down stuff!
#3 do a 1:08 at BHF on a 600. It can be done! During several races there this year my ideal laps have been in the 1:08s so yes it can be done!
I'm new to racing.I only have done 18 races and all at VIR.
My goal is to do most of the MA events.
Learn Summit and NJMP since I've never been.
Drop my time at VIR 2 to 3 seconds.
1st part of the season to get top tens.
2nd part some top fives.
Just become a better rider/racer
Most of all have fun doing it!
to many to list but not get hurt and be on the top
I just want to improve my laptimes.
Have a more consistant line at the track.
No be in last place all the time.
Be able to dice it up with someone even if it were for last place.
To just have fun and no major incidents.
Looking forward to this season!!!
At Summit Point: a 1:19.### on my SV650. I'm only a hair away.
1:15s on my CBR600.
More wins.
As far as lap times,I guess I should put a goal out there....at BHF,average 12-13's....1:08-10's not even on the radar for me....yet anyway.RA,I would love to be around 2:27's,Daytona...mid 1:50's....can't make HPT.Barber mid 1:30's on the average would be nice.
I'll be CRUSHED if I dont see 11's (or better) @ bhf this year
Lots of goals......but most I'll keep to myself.
15's at JGP in the next few months

+1
Oh wait, he's serious about the 1:08's.... In that case, my new goal is to only be passed by Dan once per race. :wtf:
Perfect time to start setting some goals for the year...
-Have as much fun on two wheels as possible
-Keep two wheels on the ground at all times
-Get to know my bike back and forth - i.e. begin to understand what it is telling me and make appropriate changes if needed
-Hit as many Great Plains race weekends as I can...and get to Blackhawk at least once for giggles
-Help new riders be safe on the track while at the same time putting BIG smiles on their faces!
See ya out there in '09 - JoeK
At the risk of sounding corny, in 09 I want to help strengthen the bond of our racing family, and keep using the track as a place where I can share examples of teamwork, respect and brotherhood, to a bunch of guys from tough backgrounds that will be joining us as pit crew. I'd like our team to pull off at least one championship in each region, and bring in some fresh blood to mentor into future racing chaplains. On the personal racing side, I'd like to get my act back together setting up the turns and trailbraking. More consistent, less mistakes, and break a 1:25 at Summit, that would be very cool, and keep Endzel and Mr Bob off my back.
I've got goals - But I'm not showing my cards.....

I want to - Gotta see how the next few days go... I haven't signed up yet.... I haven't really been riding the trainer this winter and my muscle tone shows it :( But I just loaded all the bicycles into the trailer tonight - Gonna do some riding while we're down in Daytona....
Will they let you take a bicycle out on the track at Daytona?
The Nazi's at Daytona let you do anything fun? I doubt it.

Ayers on a Buell? When did that happen?
Not likely!! I'll be on the same 750 again, just with fresh valve springs, bearings, rings, ect, a custom fuel map to get rid of that hole in the powerband at 12.000rpm (didn't help corner exits :err:) and i won't be on stock forks anymore
After a very good season last year and exceeding my goals , My goals as a first year EX now have already started to come true!
I want to close the gap between myself and the fastest Florida guys. In our first event this year I was able to break my Pb time at Homestead multiple times! I also wanted to score some top fives, and in my first F40 race I got 3rd so some goals have started to come true. Now I need to keep my head down and stay focused. Good luck to all this season!

Am I part of the team? Bob told me if I didn't stop wrecking in practice that I would be kicked out; and that was BEFORE Summit in Sept!!! :lmao:
My goals for this year:
- Pull off the air fence concert at Summit this May
- Pay off the credit card
- Add an addition onto my current 2 Canopy set up!
- Get my dad to some more races
- Perform at the japanese steakhouse again
