So you have to actually be forty or can you be 39 and 11 months. I know the rule book says forty, but is it that serious? I will be forty on June 12 and don't want to have to wait till July if I don't have to.
There's a story behind that rule.......LOL
Darrell,
Have you ever heard of the infamous K3, Chris Onwiler?
He would be able to explain everything that's wrong with the way the rule is structured. :thumb:
40 years old min on day of competition.
There was a proposal to change to year that a rider turned 40. That was NOT implemented and led to some confusion 5-6 years ago.
So what's the "Formula" in it? Was there ever one??
Seemed to me that age of rider + age of bike >= 40 would be cool...
Or do y'all get an insurance break on a class made of up of grandparents?
Could be fun but I think I might have trouble getting my hands on a 2010 bike :banghead: :lmao:

Yeah, originally, a 35 year old rider with a five year old bike could compete, 35+5=40. I think 35 years old was the youngest one could be.
Well that really sucks ass! but I supposed " It is, what it is ".
Thanks, Darrell
Since I've been away from this scene for some time, I gotta ask.....(better put on my smite-proof jacket here) buy do people still kid around with the F40 guys these days? You know, "Grecian Formula 40" and all that? LOL, sorry- had to ask!
No. Everyone here is very serious at all times. We never discuss age, or make politically incorrect statements calling people a fat ass, or that they're probably wearing a thong under that suit...you know, stuff like that. We would never want to hurt anyone's feelings...
Why do you ask, are you an old fart too??

Wat! But wait! My bike would make me eligible for F-50. I still have a couple years before I get to 35... ugh... less than a couple.
I can see the interviews now......
"Well, folks, the Team Viagra Suzuki ran hard today in the Grecian Formula Forty.....I'd like to thank the Cialis Cup Series (CCS) Geritol, Just for Men, and of course Depends- for getting me through a double sprint weekend"
lol- I feel a smite coming on....
I think Jigs wears Depends. He said it saved him from a real mess at Daytona.
Dave Meyer's is gonna kick my arse when he reads this......hehehehe
YOU HAVE TO TYPE IN CAPS SO THE OLD PEOPLE CAN HEAR YOU!!!
AH...............WHAT DID YOU SAY???????????
You need to pick up a new sponsor.....BEL-TONE HEARING AIDS! ....and you know, they make magnifying glasses to help you read.....
There are those of us "40-somethings" that don't have any hair left to use said "Grecian" formula on. That being said, why is F40 limited to 750cc max? I'll be damn if I'm going to buy another bike just to run this class when my 1k is perfectly fine.
Quote from: gixxer188 on February 13, 2009, 05:43:01 PMThat being said, why is F40 limited to 750cc max?
Because there are still more racers that compete in Middleweight and Heavyweight classes. It offers CCs the best opportunity to fill that grid.

Ha ha ha!!!
Damn, I just turned 39.95 and holding. My plumbing works great, I'm in better shape than most 20 year olds, and I can race....Formula Forty needs to be redesigned then because I don't remember too many slouches in that Class!
AARP Lites anyone?

Enjoy the happy medicine they will administer! I am having difficulty wondering how the physical therapy goes with rump removal and rejuvination. .Good LUCK with it all.!!
AGAIN-at 50(+) aren't we having twice as much fun as say the 25 yeroles?
So when does Formula 50 offically start? Please repeat the answer 3 or 4 times so we can remember it, thanks :thumb:
"What".................Someone say formula 50. I may come out of retirement for this one. :sleeping2: :sleeping2: :sleeping2:
JEFFFFF,
That's just wrong Mr.
[Ah- The grids may be small, but not short on experience, just need to cut the sprints to a single lap so noone gets lost.
LRRS has a F-50 class! Smallest grid was eight biggest 14 and the class leader is doing 14s ,15s so not slow!
would love to have it at other CCS tracks!
Let's say the F50 class were to be held with 10 riders on the grid, were would the class fit amongst the other classes? You know right of the bat it's going to be combined with something else. I believe that we do have a sizable senior rider membership over 50, remember it took a few years before F40 took off.

To play off of the Viagra angle...lol
This weekend was filled with "ups and downs" for Team Viagra Suzuki, the Endurance Team of Viagra Suzuki ran very hard and led the 6 hour endurance race at the 4 hour mark but needed to pull off the track to consult a physician.
Way Too Funny :err:
