I heard that Buffalo Range Riding park in Ottawa was closing. Does anybody know if it is just for the winter or if it's closed for good?
It was bought by a strip mining company.
Close for good would be my educated guess.

Off their website...
The riding park has officially been closed.
However, regardless of rumors some might have heard, the service shop and shooting range will remain open for bussiness.
Rob, I linked to the article to show it was sold.
We all have seen new owners come in and change their minds (or mines in this case).

I'm seriously bummed about their closing.
but wait! I object! I can't believe it.
I work about a mile away from Rock Glen OHV park, but have only been there once (riding a Honda 400 quad). The park is an old quarry property that has the quarry itself filled with water. It's really easy to get to because it's located along Bypass 20 (which goes around the South side of Rockford) at the Main Street interchange, just several miles West of the the I-39 Interchange.
I went there the year they opened, I was actually kind of disappointed that it's as small as it is - but then again it was a legal place to ride. Even though I believe their closed in the winter, make sure you call ahead and find out what's required if you do go. I believe you have to have a State registration sticker on each vehicle, I know they didn't allow 3-wheelers, and there may be some vehicle requirements as well.
