Title: 06 ZX6 to 07 MV Agusta F4
Post by: Maduro Mistress on February 02, 2009, 10:22:33 PM
hello lads and ladies, I know i have not been around these boards much, so this will prove to be a great place to pose the question I am about to pose - since nobody really knows me here!

Thinking of trading up (but still keeping) my 06 ZX6 and going to an 07 MV Agusta F4R with 8000 miles on it. Looks like a pretty nice deal, just need some pros or cons from the rest of the world to help with my decision.

I understand the obvious one of 636 ccs vs 998 - I got that one covered! (And also that the F4 seat costs $900!) Apart from that, any other advice would be greatly appreciated!

If your riding on the street, go for it. Have fun.
If this is a track bike or race bike, don't even think about.

The suspension alone, will cost a lot to upgrade and you will wait 4 months for the parts.

+2 on what Scotty said.  A buddy of mine high-sided his MV Agusta F4 at Road America in July '07.  He still doesn't have it put back together.  Parts are hard to find and very expensive.  On the other hand, you'll probably be the only one on your block that has one, and they look nice in your dining room (that's where my buddy keeps his)!
