Do many of you run the same front tire for two weekends? I'll probally be running the BT003's this year.I was thinking maybe about 4 sprints and practice session then the next weekend just change the rear and run about another 4 sprints and practice on the same front.I know it would be better to put on a new front when I change the rear but if the front is still plenty good would It be that much slower that I should put on a new one?
totally depends on what your expecting from the tire, lap times, etc. It can be done. Do it and compare your lap times..
Yup, it'shardtosay. The 003 fronts last a long time, but you will need to see how you wear them before you can descide if that will be safe.
Thanks guys.I know I won't run the ones from CMP races except maybe for Fri. practice at Summit. That track is hard on tires.Derek I'll be getting up with you for some tires before the CMP race.Maybe I can pick them up there if you or one of you guys is going to be there.
i would have to say it depends on the track, your riding style( do you ride more on your front or rear) and brand. I normally run 2 rears to one front. that running michelins. if I run bridgestones I do the same but halfway through the 2nd rear I can feel the bridgestone front going away..thats just me, to each there own
Josh will be there to cover the races, and he'll have plenty of stuff, plus he can just run over and get more from storage if need be. I'm not that far away. He should be parked in my spot at garage 24.
I have to run down to JGP that weekend. I think I screwed up. I should have made him do the long drive.
Good deal. Are you or Josh going to be at any other MA events?
