I understand that Suzuki, after having dominated the Superbike class for many years, would have beef with changing the rules.
But, for the life of me, why wouldn't Kawasaki welcome some change? I mean, Jamie Hacking did pretty good, but he wasn't on the podium all the time.
I applaud Yamaha for taking this transition period in stride and making the most of it. They have signed on a full squad and have expressed their enthusiasm for next year.
Why must the other factories make a mess of things? I mean, c'mon, does it really matter if you have to run 17" wheels, vice 16.5"? Especially if everyone else is having to do the same thing...
Superbikes, while significantly beefed up, are still based on PRODUCTION machinery.

I'm not going to excuse everything the manufacturers are doing, but I admit that I'd be pretty pissed if I was given a set of rules and they were then changed.
They might not reallly care what size wheels they run, except that they have 15 or 20 sets already in their garage. That stuff can get expensive if you're talking about a ton of parts that they already have inventory for.
Plus, it's just aggravating when someone keeps changing their minds.
I don't pretend to understand the business of racing but as a fan I've noticed over the past few years that AMA racing has fallen to a distant third on my viewing list behind MotoGP, World Superbike / Supersport. Even then I recorded the Supersport and FX races on Tuesdays while completely ignoring Superbike and Superstock.
My point is that maybe the disorganization of the American series has lead manufacturers to consider dropping the program all together to focus their resources on the European series. I know the old saying goes win on Sunday and sell on Monday but does it matter where they win? I don't seem to care.
