Title: A new low.....
Post by: backMARKr on November 21, 2008, 02:09:56 PM
to delay the onset of racing withdrawals....I bought one of my student's Playstation 2 systems and "Suzuki TT Superbikes" game.....now, given, only $20 total.....but........where could this ultimately lead just to get a racing fix in the winter....

hope everyone is doing well and look forward to 2009!

1st thought.......   put some Stomp Grip on the tank.  I think that thing's capable of more corner lean than you're use to........   ( What am I thinking - that thing's capable of corner lean ....... it's gonna take more than just Stomp Grip to keep you in the saddle!)

Well, here, we're starting to see ice on the lakes.  Someone said the earliest they rode on the ice was December 7th.

Will you get ice?

I think we might be below 17 now.  Gonna be, like, ten or so tonight.  Looking good really.  I think Tommy Mason is in the same boat as us.  Maybe by that third weekend in December if things go well.

Guy, I look at it this way....Weaver is on the SIDE of the track WATCHING....so his assessment of my riding ability (or lack of) is a bit of a moot point.

Anytime Weaver wants to grid up and start critiquing me....BRING IT!  I'll even loan him a bike!

I think he needs to stick to stirring up shit in the "union vs. management arena"

whew....anyway....I am not used to participating in the juvenile trash talk since I listen to it all day, every day....I promise I won't do it again for a while --- please don't tell Kyle

BTW--- I am kidding...Rick and I ARE friends --- I'd hate to think I have been feeding an enemy the last 3 years!

Had Ice on lake here already.  :ahhh:

Unfortunately it was the last roadrace of the season, woke up to the lake at the track with ice over it.   :banghead:

melted as soon as the sun broke the horizon and day ended up in the mid 50s but :kicknuts:

Yup, global warming in Texas.  So the model says.

You coming up early/staying late for the ice during the banquet, Eric?

As much as I would like to come up for some ice racing, the time and budget to make it won't allow it.

Bah, just bring a bunch of clothes and ride with us.  I haven't done an ice race since 1992 or something.  Between a bunch of us, there's a place and time to ride at the cost of just your time being here during the banquet.  But, maybe you're not gonna make it up?

Colder with a little snow in the STL area over the weekend........

From this video I think it may be a little early for the ice though.
