Title: Credit back for multiple races?
Post by: honda60071 on November 08, 2008, 08:37:35 AM
Here is a thought, this might have been brought up before I don't know because I didn't search it. Anyhow has it ever been thought of,  if you (racer) pay in advanced say for 10 or 12 races you'll receive  a 100.00 credit or somewhere around there for future race weekend?  This seems like it would help draw more competitors for each round or do this for specific rounds only that have a lower turn out. And if this was put into use people like myself always sign up for more races once I get there, CCS will be making that money back up on post entry fees.  Give some kind of time frame at the beginning of the year say this all ends before the first race weekend at Daytona. I guess kinda like NESBA does but on a bigger scale. Does this make since? I explain things better verbally than typing it, sorry! Something to think about over the long cold boring winter! :banghead:

That would make me want to enter more races.  I think the problem is that anybody who wants to race is already racing.  Furthermore, in todays economy I dont think anybody (including C.C.S.) has a surplus of money to give discounts.  You can bet that C.C.S.'s overhead is going to be higher.  I personally would like a credit back on races that you cant run because you crashed and have to go home.  Thats mainly because I crash alot.

Read the rule book. If im not mistaken, as long as you submit it in writing before they shut down for the day you should get a credit.

No refunds after the day starts, If you crash Saturday you can get a refund for the Sunday's races (all except the first race) if you submit the paperwork in person before the day starts. If you stop crashing you could really save some money.  :thumb:

Really though guys, are the entry fees the thing breaking the bank? I know entry fees didn't even make up 1/3 of my costs, besides CCS is already giving you a break based on the number of races you enter, this year it was 1st race $75 second race $50 and third and all others $40.

Hawk, Ben, I was saying like on the same day.  I think that entry fees are not really in the equation when I think about costs.  I feel that doing a practice day at blackhawk for $90 is way better than nesba or stt's rates.  My cousin runs scca and they pay 250 and up for practice days.

Wel;l enter so many races get some credit back the next race weekend, Bam saved some cost for gate fee, camping fee, ele. fee, or Race fuel. Add these things up and there ya go that credit that would have normally gone to entry has now gone to something else to help out your weekend! :ahhh:
