Long story short: I am an amateur and i will be getting moved to expert for 2009. I am planning on taking 2009 off. Will I lose my expert status?
Another scenario. If I race wih another organization in 2010 (like Moto-ST), and I dont race with CCS in 2010, will I still be able to remain a CCS expert? Basically: Whats the minimal amount of racing I need to do, to remain an expert!
If you keep your license current as an expert buy renewing, you should remain an expert. That would be my understanding.
To race MotoST, you must be an expert. If you had that classification and you didn't renew your CCS license, CCS would probably recognize that as being an expert.
Talk to Eric Kelcher for more clarification at the CCS office.
thank you Dave. Eric Kelcher, can you please chime in?
Thank you
Way I understood it that you have to be off 3-5 yrs.
2.2.1 Licenses from the following organizations are acceptable as proof of
expert ence: AMA Professional, AFM, AHRMA, ASM, ASMA, CMA,
CRA, CMRA, FIM, , USGPRU, HRRC, LRRS, MRA, OMRRA, RACE,
SMRA, WERA, WMRRA, & WSMC.
A. Expert ranked riders who show a significant lapse in
participation (over 3 years without a competition license) will be
required to re-qualify for Expert status by normal licensing
procedures.
B. Riders who show a signifi cant lapse in participation (over 5
years without a competition license) will be required to re-qualify
by normal licensing procedures.
The way I read that is, if you have a "Professional" or Expert license belonging to one of the others org's CCS will give you an Expert License and it doesn't matter how long you are not racing with CCS.
If you are an Expert and don't renew your race license and your not racing for 3 years, you have to go back to the Amature status and earn your Expert status again.
If you you are out of racing for 5 yrs then you have to take the license class again and then apply for your Amature License status again.
If your an Amature, well your still an Amature.
Moto ST doesnt give you a license you have to have a current expert or pro license from an orginization to show every Moto ST race along with your suntrust membership card you need to be an expert or pro to buy
So Stumpy can come back next year as an amateur??? :err: Nice.....
I'm guessing you can petition to stay expert.
Never mind. I did fuzzy math....2 more years!! haha
