Title: AKUMA helmets?
Post by: kl3640 on September 24, 2008, 02:01:33 AM
Anybody here have any experience with them?  They have some interesting designs, and their prices look reasonable, but I'm wondering about the quality and safety.  Thanks.

They are a very nice helmet. They fit well, and seem to be durable. I have been selling them for two years and haven't received any complaints, only praise. They are DOT approved, so they meet at least the minimum standard. There hasn't been a comprehensive helmet test in 3-4 years, so how it compares to the rest of the helmets out there, nobody knows. I stock the Akuma helmets, so if you're in the Stuart/West Palm ares, you can see, feel and touch them.

Yes, I am just South of West Palm, in Delray...where are they available to see?

We are in Stuart (about 1/2 hour north of WPB). We'll be at Moroso in November if you can wait that long. I am also working on a deal to bring down the Arlen Ness Racing Gear
