Title: Dunlop Tires?
Post by: tshort on March 20, 2003, 07:50:25 AM
Who supplies Dunlops at races in the Midwest?  I asked Tom Mason about it and he doesn't sell them.  Looking for D208 for Blackhawk  on 4/5-6 race weekend.

Thanks, Sean - they said Andy would be at the track, and would have tires on hand.  Cool.

So any SV pilots out there running D208s?  Like em?  Or?  I was planning on running Pirellis this year, but I have one leftover Dunlop front, so I figured I'd use that before switching.

I run pirelli's on my SV. The dunlop is still a bias tire i think. The pirelli is a true radial.  Can anyone correct me on this?  The pirelli has a wider window for setup.

The Dunlops have been radials since the K591R race tire went away and was replaced by the Sportmax II (around '91 or so) - I think they were D204s.

I believe that the Dunlop tires for a 160/60/17 is still a 207 GP, while the 180 & the 150 are the 208's
