Title: daytona sv gearing

anyone know what the appropriate gearing for daytona is on a sv650? thank you

16 front, 33 rear would be a fair assumption. (Run tall)   It's a fast track...   The amount of available torque on your machine would be playing a big factor.  I/E whole shots out of schcane may be hampered, although you would gain on the straight.  You want to get up the middle of the main straight, or higher to line yourself up for turn one.

Are you sure? 16/33? Or do you mean 16/43? I ran a 15/43 at Daytona last time I was there but it was a 1st gen. I know a fast guy that will run a 15/42 there. I think his is a 2nd gen though.

16/33?? that seems real low. does anyone even make a 33tooth rear sprocket?

mine is a 2nd gen as well

I've been running 15/43 on my SV and same on our Moto-ST bike
