Title: Moto GP Indy
Post by: cbr600_mj on August 27, 2008, 12:24:20 PM
Anyone else getting excited?????

Few weeks away.

I have never been to any Moto GP races ever.

Was told the sound of the bikes are incredible.

Anyone one of you gone before? Good experience???

Anyone have any good tips when there?

LOL!  I hate to watch.  I'll be working on a bike or something constructive.

Yep, Been to two races. 500GP in Assen and the first MotoGP at Laguna. The Riders are no ticably faster. There is no decibel limit-so bring really good earplugs. We sat 2/3rds of the way up the hill at Laguna and still needed ear plugs. I suspect a bowl like Indy will be unbearably loud. The attendance will be impressive so get there early. As always bring lots and lots of money

My brother and a couple of friends had planned on going, rooms reserved etc.
Then a bad string of medical issues his wife, my mother in law etc etc etc----. Probably not able to make it.
I hope it is a gigantic success and returns for many years to come.
Like the Isle of Mann, hopefully next year.

A friend and and I are riding down from IL.

We are to camp at a KOA campground 20 minues away from the track.

I'll be taking pics with the camera as well as some video if all works out.

Hope it's not too much of a zoo there. But I think It will be crowded for sure.

Sure it will be a good race. We will see if Stoner and Rossi battle it out like at Laguna!
