Title: catch can on an F4i?
Post by: Jimmy on April 25, 2002, 09:25:48 AM
I was looking at the CCS rules and it says ALL 4 Stroke machines must be equiped with a catch pan/can. Anybody has pics of ones installed? I am not sure how hard it is to put one in my F4i.I thought it wasn't required. Thanks

reread this section of the rulebook 5.2.15
If you are still using the stock airbox then you should be fine. The catch can rule is for those that either A. don't have an airbox or B. prefer to use a catch can.

oops maybe you meant 5.2.23
after market bodywork normally complies otherwise you can do one of three things
1. seal the existing bodywork so that fluid cannot leak out
2 install a MB motorsports "diaper"
3 install a Alum or Fiberglass containment "housing" inside of your lowers could be a Tupperware container or turkey baster pan as long as it is fully enclosed in the lowers where it cannot come out (workman like manner)

Yeah I was talking about 5.2.23. It looks like I might invest in an aftermarket bodywork. Thanks
