Really, really sorry. Lets just stick to me crashing in front of you from now on. It seems to work better. Know that Chris and I are thinking of you and praying for a speedy reovery.
My wife spoke with Sherry today. David is in intensive care at Bryan LGH West in Lincoln NE. His condition is stable but very serious. I won't share the medical details but I'll say that he has significant injuries and is being given blood. He may require surgery after another CT/MRI results are examined. We don't know what will happen yet. We at Ducati Omaha are bringing him a package to help keep his spirits up and give him something to keep his mind occupied - videos, magazines, etc. We loaded up his stuff and brought the trailer back to our shop. Now we wait until he gets better.
Becka try not to feel bad, you did not cause this and I know David knows you didn't intend any harm either. Things happen, it's racing and we all accept the risks. Thank God Anthony, Bruce or I didn't run over David, It could have been much worse. I hope he's back racing again in no time. He's a pretty tough guy, I expect he'll bounce back soon. CP
We are all praying for his rapid recovery.
Dont know ya, but does not matter. Get Better ASAP Dave. Here is a prayer for a full recovery.....

Oh no, hope you will be OK Dave. I was hoping to race with ya again at Road America too, heal up quick :(
Heal quick, Dave.
I just got off of the phone with Sherry. Dave is showing a little improvement but he still has a way to go. He's lucky to have Sherry with him (and big thanks to Clayton for taking his rig back to store in Omaha).
In close competition it can be almost impossible to avoid a downed rider but I think that I'm safe in saying that we would all rather be hit by Becca than any other rider!
Get well Dave, prayers sent.
Sorry to hear of this, best wishes for a speedy and full recovery Dave.
sorry to hear about dave. Becka don't take it too hard, it sounds like it was an unavoidable circumstance.
Anything I can do please let me know
Dave, I'm really sorry to hear that you got hurt. I don't know the details, other than what's in this post, but I've enjoyed meeting you and racing with you this year and had been looking forward to more of it at Road America.
Best wishes for a quick and full recovery! Hoping to see you out there again soon!
Becka, don't know if you went down or not, but in any case hope you're okay. See you at RA?
Get well soon David...
Dave, sorry to here about the crash. Hoping you have a speedy recovery.
Get well soon Dave! I don't know ya but it could happen to any of us!
Get well soon Dave.
Dave, you can't ride that new pit bike laying there.......get well soon!
Get well soon..thought and prayres sent....let's hope we don't see any more of these any time soon.
Prayers for you and family....Get Fast soon
Sorry to hear of this. Best wishes for a speedy recovery Dave. Hope you're up and around soon.
Wow - I just heard about this. Prayers sent from the entire Linhart family for Dave's speedy healing and comfort.
Also - best wishes and support to his family and friends. Becka - you are a great rider and I'm sure you did your best. Things completely out of our controll do happen and all you can do is accept that it happened.
If there is anything I can do for you, just let me know.
George
Hang in there Dave! Prayers for a speedy recovery.
Best Wishes and you are in our prayers. If anyone has information (address of the hospital, room number, etc....) Maybe I can find a few editions of Road Racing World or 2 to send.
To a Speedy Recovery!
Just heard today, Dave has been moved out of the ICU to a regular room and is expected to be going home by the weekend, so great news! We did send him a care package with the last 5 issues of Roadracing World, a video, a model Ducati, and a titanium connecting rod (in case they needed to reconnect any body parts, we figured he might as well get upgraded parts).
Here's the address:

Dave, (it is Dave right? :thumb:) - All the best, glad to hear your makin' good progress, keep it up!
Sorry I am late to post, but I just got back into the country.
I hate to see this and I'm not sure what happened, but I hope all involved are ok or heal quickly. Especially Dave who sounds like he was severly injured. I hope you fully recover and soon-best wished on a speedy recovery!
I don't usually post on forums - as you can tell by my "number of posts"! But, I had to send my racing buddy Dave a great big Get Well Soon message! Hope that your back on the track soon. (Sorry that this is so late. But first I had to register then verify my e-mail, etc., etc.) It sounds like you're doing much better. That's great news! I'm not very good with a computer, but maybe I can send you a picture for some motivation. I think that I have one of my rear tire somewhere that should bring back some memories for you!!! :thumb: (It's even a picture that you took!)
I spoke with Dave today and he is in good spirits but a bit of pain. He said his medication choices are "out cold" or "excruciating pain". :err:
He is out of ICU and he hopes to be heading home this weekend.

Wow I didn't hear about this! Get well soon Dave!!
Latest update on Dave:
I talked to Sheri this morning and things are looking promising for Dave. They moved him from intensive care last Thursday and he has been in a regular hospital room for the past couple of days. There is rumor that he may be able to go home sometime today. Looks like he will have a full recovery! The major portion of his injuries involved his kidney. Yes, that's right, I said kidney, not kidney(s). Many of you may not be aware that several years ago Dave donated one of his kidneys to his Mother. Pretty serious, when you damage your only remaining kidney. The kidney seems to be healing fine and slowly returning to its normal functions. Other internal injuries have resolved themselves with the exception of 3 cracked ribs, which will take some time to heal. I don't think we'll be seeing any hardy belly laughs coming from Dave for awhile! On behalf of all of us at TrackAddix we wish you a speedy recovery Dave! We look forward to seeing you behind the camera again soon.
To all the rest of the racers out there....please be cafeful! Remember, your body will heal itself but it costs money to fix your bike! :thumb:
Dave just called, he's home, still not feeling like doing cartwheels but definitely on the mend and things are looking good for a full recovery. He won't be driving for a week or so due to the meds, so probably just getting intimately acquainted with his couch and remote control for a while. This is a huge improvement from being flown in a chopper less than a week ago! :thumb:
Glad to hear you are home. Keep up the good work on recovery. See you soon!
Woohoo...great to hear Dave made it home! Now get those photos uploaded from the last event, slacker.
^ that last bit was sarcasm in case anyone was wondering. :thumb:
I don't know you Dave but I've raced (behind) you several times.
Great to hear that you're home!
Dave, glad to hear that you're home and on the mend! Sorry that I won't be racing against you at Road America (well, maybe not that sorry - I need all the points that I can get in the Midwest LWSS championship!), but maybe I'll see you at Hastings. If you have the chance, send me an email or PM and let me know how you're doing.
