Title: Road America Tire Compounds
Post by: Hatman on June 06, 2008, 01:00:02 PM
Haven't raced at Road America in about 8 years, and never on a big bike (Ducati 749/848).  Looking for tire compound recommendations for slicks, either Bridgestone or Pirelli.  These would be for 6-lap sprint races, two races each day (Sat/Sun)

Thanks in advance.

Not to be picky, but the sprint races are 5 laps at Road America (at least this season they are).  :thumb:

 Hatman,

If it is above 70F, I suggest a green/green compound.  If you are only running a race or two per set the Blue/green compound would be good, but for four races, Green/Green.

Give me a call and I can help you with the pirelli's

Can any suggest which Dunlop compounds to use there?

Thanks for the advice, guys.

BTW, the races are six-laps, but they are with another racing organization (which shall remain nameless) that is racing there this weekend.
