Title: Road America test day
Post by: RCR_531 on June 03, 2008, 03:12:35 AM
The track is having a testing day on July 3,2008. You must sign up by June 26,2008 or it will cost you $50.00 more after that. I tried to make a short cut to this on their site but had no luck with it.  Maybe someone else could help with that.

Do they have electricity for RV's up there?

I asked the RA office that question (as well as about RV storage) and their response is copied below.  I think that the RV park is in the paddock area, but that parking in the paddock itself (i.e., right by wherever you're pitting) isn't technically part of the RV park - at least that's what I infer from their response.  I don't know if you have to pay for electric if you park in the paddock area but not in the RV Park, I'm still waiting for some clarification on that.

There is a motor home park in the paddock that has electrical hook-ups for RV's – they are first come, first serve.  The cost is $50 for the space and $20 for the electric.  No water hook-ups available anywhere.  The RV tag is purchased at registration and the electrical at our retail store in the paddock or from security that comes around to collect.  You can also park in your paddock area if you'd like and there is electricity in some of those paddock areas.  Again, first come, first serve.  Yes, you can park it here for the week prior in our overflow parking area but there is a storage fee of $50 for 1-7 days and $100 for 8-14 days.  You need to come in the office and make those arrangements and pay.

Has anyone found out if RA will let you in on Wednesday night for Thursday practice, and if so, how late?  I just called and they said to call on that Monday and they should know.  Last year I came up on Friday about 8:00pm and they wouldn't let us in and put us in the overflow parking for the night.  I want to avoid that this year.

Im not sure, but you can give the office a call they are really helpful for the most part. Also, there are trackdays tuesday and wednesday, so that will likely play into it, depending on when you get to the track.

They wouldn't let us in last year after 6:00, but they let us camp in the camping area outside the gate by Canada corner... But that was for the NESBA day.
