I heard that CCS FL is going to return to the old safety wire requirements for caliper bolts and possibly pinch bolts. Can anyone confirm this? Any other parts, e.g., clutch cover nut, that may be required to be wired/RTV'd?
I also heard that it may be in effect as soon as the Memorial Day event at Homestead.
The only thing that will be required will be front brake caliper mounting bolts. It will not be enforced untill the June 21-22 round at Homestead.
Thank you.
Because of the frequency with which I swap wheels, I would like to use safety spring-clips. Will safety clips that are wired to each other be acceptable, if the tension on the wire in-between the bolts is sufficient?
Here the clips that I plan to use, if acceptable:

Please be advised that we will not enforce safety wiring of front brake caliper mounting bolts. We will only suggest that you do so.

are those clips ccs legal ?i put a diaper pin on my fill plug one time and they laughed me out of the tech lane
I was told by tech that the safety pin clips are NOT legal for anything relating to oil retention, i.e., drain plug, filter, or fil cap. They ARE legal for caliper bolts.
