Title: 06 gsxr 600 Ignition module problems
Post by: EnvyCycles on April 21, 2008, 02:40:44 PM
OK I bought a power commander from a person here and also an ignition module from another person.
Today I finally got some time to install everything.
After everything was installed I hit the switch to start the bike and it came on and then about 7-10 later shut off.
Tried several times and same thing.
I disconnected the ignition module from the PC and the bike runs fine.
If I plug it back in then it shuts off again.
One thing I noticed was the light on the ignition module is not coming on.

I took the tank off and the box and took every plug off and put it back on the module and still the same problem...
I tried to look online to see where the power for the module comes from but didnt find anything.

I hope someone here has had this and can help me out.

Thanks in advance.

You have to upgrade the software for your power commander to work with the ignition module.   When you purchase the ignition module new, you also get an adapter to plug in that you use for this software upgrade.  If you didn't get a separate adapter or the ign. module "cd" you need to talk to whoever you purchased it from and get those along with the instructions (I'm sure you can get the instructions off the dynojet website).
