yeah, check out this interview with JOsh. You gotta feel for the guy. He's an amazing racer. I look up to him a lot. SO much so, that I bought his new replica Arai. He was at our local track and autographed it for me ......I wasn't there, but the helmet was. PRetty cool. I can't even imagine how these guys are doin 26's on 600's
Josh Hayes is a class act , and the real deal. He is very personable and was kind enough to shoot the breeze at JenningsGP with me on a track day a couple Fridays ago. Even said "come-on, lets go" from pit lane and I got a 1-on-1 session with THE MR. Josh Hays. Was a highlight to my weekend i assure you. He is just a cool dude as is his wife Melissa. The both love racing, and i did not even bring up the Daytona incident.
He gave me some good insight though, i asked him how he is able to get amped up for every race weekend and run the times he does week-in-week out. He says as his skill level got better you just limit the bad weekends..keep the damage to a minimum. Super cool guy and I'm a big fan for sure. Not suprising to see him at the to of the charts for Barber.
That's it, its official, he's cheating again. I guarantee he has a flux capacitor on his bike and I guarantee Chuck Norris was riding it
Quick what are you doing @ 500am on a weekend? I thought it was Ron on his petal scooter!
Josh Hayes would round house kick Chuck Norris in the face. hahahaha
i work saturdays and get up at 5 am on days I work
Wow, he is putting down some impressive lap times. It was good seeing him at JenningsGP during the CCS races a few weeks ago. He is a class act and I was able to get tons of helpful tips from him that weekend. I was even able to have dinner with him, Melissa, and Mark (Attack Kawi) that Saturday night up in Valdosta. I definitely think he will bounce back from the unfortunate Daytona decision. We all know who the real winner was. :)
Karl took this picture when Josh was telling me how slow I was in the rain (I had to agree.) Ha!
Its not looking good for Josh, will he ever get a break this year. :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:
That sucked, but at least he scored some points. It's still impressive to place seventh after wrecking. Especially, in that caliber of racing.
Look what the Redbull rookies are doing

So, what's Josh's contract for this year? Anyone know? I mean, I'm irritated with Honda America for not moving him up as I feel he was up to the task, but I understand there are other reasons like how much money your sponsors might bring to the table and all.
But with the new AMA Pro Racing program for 2009, I think that puts Josh in a position to consistently be a top flight guy, if someone will develop a good crew around him and offer the proper bike support within the rules.
Does Honda have him for 2009?
