Title: CMP Sunday
Post by: MWT Racing 254 on April 14, 2008, 02:03:20 PM
What a great track! This was my first visit to CMP and was very impressed by the track and staff, both were fantastic! I was only able to attend Sundays races due to being across the state racing the GNCC (yup, I'm the guy with the muddy quads), but glad as hell I made the trip...that was some of the best racing I was ever involved with, very close, but more important, very CLEAN! Met some great people there...one in particular, Scott Quick- What a freakin cool name! Good luck this year Scott, great to meet and race with you and all the guys out there!
Oh, and one more thanks to a track buddy of mine from TPM- Danny...you thought I forgot? :ass:  Humm, might have to bump u back 1 group!!! LOL!!!
The only bad thing that happened all weekend was my 1098 getting stuck in 4th gear during my last race...no worries, can u say WARRANTY?

Had an absolute ball, despite some CRAZY weather. Rain saturday, then some pretty strong winds SUnday. Just glad it was blowing us back ONTO the track through that kink. I have been to a few tracks, and I can honestly say that turn had me more focused (short for pulling my leathers outa my butt) than any turn or section of track i can think of, even T1 at Daytona. 5th gear on the 600, and and throw it in. Roll off only if you got big cashews, or a dab o' brake if your like me..40yr old wus.
I really liked the start moved up as it made for VERY safe turn 1 start action, but was kinda wierd for the finish having to stay in it to the "3" when normally going to the brake about the "5"..
Thanks CCS for a great 1st time at CMP.
