Title: CMP Track revisions
Post by: Cornerman on March 28, 2008, 03:10:25 AM
I checked out the ccs track map for cmp. It is the old config. Check out the link for the track changes with close up shots of repaved turns and aerial shots of the revised area. I'm not sure which path bikes will follow on the back half but it looks tightened up.    See you all in Kershaw!

The curbs are still there, but they have them more friendly. They were making sure it was a friendly as possible. I got a phone call one day when they were doing the new ones asking for input. They want to make sure the bikes are happy with the place.

You will run the new stuff.  It is a blast to ride. I got a bunch of time on it in Feb. The new part is very nice and should help the racing to the line. No more block passes for the win.

Does anyone know of on board video of the "new" CMP layout?

We didn't get any video when we were out there. It is really fast. You will come into the new corner in 2nd, and leave in 4th, probably the top of it. It is tight on the entrance and then opens way up through the middle. Also the new extra pavement on 14 really makes it flow better. Watch out in one though, you will be going faster than normal now.
