Hello everyone,
I have a front pitstand that lifts from the bottom of the forks (I'm sure you've all seen them from both Pitbull and Powerstands). Anyhoo, my SV650 stock forks don't have the caliper mounting area that usually supports the "rear" portion of the pitstand. So, if I'm not very very careful, the bike can easily be knocked off of the stand, and, it's a pain in the ass to get it up on the stand!
Has anyone modified their forks, or the pitstand itself, to accomodate this?
I can't use the under the triple lift-type stand anymore due to the ramair inlet.
Thank you in advance!

The Pit Bull should work fine. It doesn't need to rock back against the caliper mounts to be secure. Just be sure that when you put the bike up on the stand that you roll the stand forward so that the weights hang vertically or even slant toward you a bit.
If you've got a Powerstands stand, good luck!
I used short bolts sticking up out of the end of the stand arms which fit into the bottom of the forks. Used these on my SVs and my R6. Remember to never use a fork stand alone. I bought a cheap LP front stand with the pin(s) which fits into the bottom of the triple - this way you can work on the forks, brakes easily.
Yeah, it's from Powerstands. I called them and their representative said that this wasn't the first time they'd heard of it happening. They said that a 'redesign' was in the works. It's probably time to find a pitbull....
