Looking at Saturday's results I noticed one name in particular that I can't believe has the balls to race with yellow plates. He managed quite a few WINS at Daytona last year as well as a few 2nds and thirds. I don't believe he raced the rest of the season so he didn't get enough points to be required to bump. But, he knows damn well he shouldn't be racing with yellow plates. So nice job dude, way to take away an actual amateur's glory. Because you don't have the balls to go race with the big boys, you fucked someone else out of a win they deserved. That makes you an asshole.
You know who you are, and you suck.
Spill the beans. Who?

I'll give you a hint; first name rhymes with "harry".
let me grab some popcorn and watch this one....LOL. He only was doin 52's though. Do you think he was sandbaggin his pace? I agree, he shouldnt be racin amateur if he has that index and those wins, points, etc

His pace means nothing. He cleaned house down there last spring, I guess was bumped based on that weekend alone, and somehow managed to run yellow plates again.
I really hope there's more to this story, the guy's actually a pretty decent guy. But I simply have no patience for sandbaggers, there's just no excuse for continuing to beat up on the yellow plate racers just because you can.
I agree. I was told by our promoter in the FL region that I was an expert after only 6 events as an am......I was freaked out. I had just come back after a big back injury and was very suprised. BUt, you can see the guys that should be expert. He was right in hindsight. THis guy should be an expert.

Mine is... Damnit.. I was hopin to do some more sandbaggin myself... Where do I protest? :) :) :)
Yep, on the bump list.
After my showing this weekend, I don't have to worry about the bump list for a long, long time... LOL
I was all over the place riding like a newb on my new bike... well, I guess I am kind of a newb after not having ridden for almost 3 years... I did notice that there was some fella in my race that seemed like yellow plates didn't feel right, but I didn't catch his number.
Yes, his name is on the bump list. I wonder if he wrote a protest letter? I REALLY hope that's not the case.
Its funny to hear Dave get fired up. Bro, i got my whites this year and thought about protesting, but sucked it up and i'm takin it like a man. I'm gonna run superbike, thunderbike, etc. on my sv650 and seeing how Wood cleaned up and Estok came in 6th, i'm gonna get smooshed like a little bug.
Are you coming down to CMP april 12? Hopefully Mark has his bike back together by then :D. -Tim
Time to sack up and run with the big boys...
R you guys kidding me??? :wtf:
I know this person, and he is the LAST person that would ever "sandbag" to take home a cheap piece of shit $5 plaque, hell, he could buy the freakin plaque company and print them out for himself all day if he wanted! So before you pass judgement on one hell of a guy and my friend "yetidave" , get your story/facts straight ASSHOLE!
He had a great weekend last year...fact
Does that QUALIFY him to be an expert? After one event? NO DIPSHIT! :finger:
I have been racing for 25 years! I have won Championships, and finished 2nd or third overall in other Championships...all off road...does that make me an expert racer? Yes...and NO! If you feel you are going to be a danger to yourself and others by trying to race in a class you don't feel ready for, you should be man enough to admit it to yourself first, then others, instead, you should use the AM ranks to improve your skills so that when you can prove to the racing organization (CCS/AMA/WERA/etc) that you can put together a strong enough season (not one weekend) to be considered an expert, your ready...then and only then should you move up. At this point if you BS your way into staying an Am, now your a piece of shit sandbagger!
Daytona is the easiest track on the circut...period...fact (may be the scariest, but definately the EASIEST)
Which means, not much skill is required to do well down here, just balls, horsepower and luck...how many of you racers have gotten behind a guy whose bike flat out spanks your a$$ on the straights and banking, just for you to bust your ass lap after lap to real him in through the infield and occasionally at the chicane, just to get SPANKED thru the banking?! All of us...fact... Hell, I'm still trying to figure out how the hell a 749 pulled me on the banking on my 1098... :ahhh:
Yes he was on the bump list...fact
As instructed by CCS (your and my racing organization for this event), if you disagree with their descision, you write THEM explaining your position, and THEY will make the call wether or not to keep you there or allow you to return to the AM ranks, with your future results/index being monitored by CCS, and they alone reserve the right to bump your ass back up if they deam you a sandbagger "yetidave", not you, or anyone else on this forum...that's why we have a racing organization, to keep assholes like you from talking shit whenever you feel the need to invoke your right of free speach, irregardless of whose reputation you or any other asshole on this or any forum may intentionally or unintentionally be harming.
Another FACT for you "yetidave", check out the results for the AM Heavyweight Superbike race...the guy that finished 2nd...FIRST RACE WEEKEND EVER! Better call Yoshimura Suzuki, he can take Ben's place when he moves on to Moto GP! Screw that, Rossi's retiring soon, call YAMAHA!
FACT is Dave, you were either not there this past weekend or are still pissed "harry" (and I) kicked your ass last year, cause if you were, you would have seen the gap between the winners of the races and "harry"...10-15 sec's or more in some cases...and hate to do this to you "harry", but the race he won...there was a crash that took out 2nd and 3rd and allowed him to pull clear by some 15 sec's, only to win by a handful at the end...another FACT for you Dave, some of his top results were posted due to disqualifications, not race order finish, but I'm sure you just forgot to mention that little tidbit ASSHOLE! :ass:
So what have we all learned here?
A)
"yetidave" is an ASSHOLE
B) you can all talk shit about me and I won't give a shit, because if this is what you get off on, your a loser, get a life!
C) "harry" will be trying to become an expert this season, as he will be contesting the ENTIRE season...you see Dave, "harry" WANTS to EARN his white plates the right way! It's his goal this year and I'm behind him 100%...so maybe, when your done whining like a bitch, you might want to apologize for being an ASSHOLE..."harry" is man enough to accept it, me on the other hand...I'm an asshole too! so go F#$K yourself! See you at the track DICKHEAD!
D) I guess another thread will be started for me sandbagging too...see, last year I was anywere from 3-5th place, not high enough to raise any eyebrows on anyones index...this year I had a GREAT WEEKEND "yetidave"! Guess I'm ready to take on Ulrich, Cardenas, Pegram, West, Russell etc, etc...SURE! Right after I get all the brown stains out of my underware after starting on POLE with them during the Team Endurance Solo race, and praying I didn't get creamed by anyone of them at the horseshoe!
Wasted enough of my time on this BS, but I can't let some A-Hole (yetidave- in case I forgot to mention it earlier) talk shit about a guy like "harry"...the racing community and life in general need more "harry's" in it!
Hugs and kisses!

i think you need a cold shower! :thumb:
I was there."Harry" is a top shelf guy and deserved what he acheived. I was pitted across the firelane from him. There were some guys there in several races I watched with highly questionable finishes. Left the pack behind like they were riding a MotoGP bike in a middleweight race. And nobody challenged that? I'm new to the sport. Just an observation not a rant.
And your son had a hell of a weekend too! I checked out in a few of my races, just one of those weekends were everything clicked, even after a crash in practice, but I can honestly say, that if I were to enter a race at say VIR, Summit Point, I would get my ass handed to me...Daytona is just different...
The real sandbaggers are the guys that take the purse money intended for the Priveteer Experts...Last year, factory riders pulled over at the end of a race and pitted on the last lap so that the guys who really count on this money could put it to good use for their race season...sorry to say, I didn't see too much of that this year...sad.
a little worked up...but you make 2 very good points.....
1)Daytona is an easy track with a fast bike and balls.
2)Guys fell down at the front of that race
Like I said, he was doin 52's according to timing and scoring which is front of the amatuer pack. Not crazy fast. But if he won last year at Daytona.......there will always be people questioning it.

Hell, I am still trying to figure out how a 1098 is legal in Formula Forty!
Just to be clear, I am not calling you a cheater. I just don't understand why a 1098 would be allowed to run against 750cc inline fours!
FORMULA 40 (Amateur & Expert Divisions)
Twin cylinder, liquid cooled, up to 1000cc
Four cylinder, liquid cooled, up to 775cc
All other engine confi gurations, Unlimited displacement
I dont think its sandbagging at all. He isn't running stupid fast times or anything.
The rules for this year allow superbike trim bikes and twins up to 1200cc (water cooled), I called CCS and confirmed the legality of running the Duc...there were not even any 750's in the top group anyway, which was odd, most were running 600's...have to figure out if bike has a top speed limiter on it though as it kept cutting out at 179mph (indicated on speedo) and still had some tach left in her...

Thanks for clearing that up. I was just reading the displacement part in the formula forty rules, and didn't see the update.
Formula 40:
6.7.2 All Formula 40 machines must meet the requirements of Lightweight
Grand Prix or Heavyweight Superbike.
HEAVYWEIGHT SUPERBIKE (Amateur & Expert Divisions)
Four cylinder, liquid cooled, up to 775cc
All other engine confi gurations, Unlimited displacement
Although within the discreption of the current specific F-40 class there appears to be a contridiction:
FORMULA 40 (Amateur & Expert Divisions)
Twin cylinder, liquid cooled, up to 1000cc
Four cylinder, liquid cooled, up to 775cc
All other engine confi gurations, Unlimited displacement
The rule change request reads as follows:
Request: allow UNL class machines
Action: Denied
Request: allow Heavyweight Superbike machines
Action: approved
Which is what I asked the CCS before entering the 1098, and they told me it was as per the Heavyweight Superbike discription for 2008.
Having to race against "Harry",you would think that I would want to protest about him but I don't think that having one good weekend should classify you as an expert racer."Harry" is a stand up guy that would give the shirt off his back to help you out.As far as him sand bagging this past weekend,he is not the type of person to do that.I look forward to racing and battling with him this year as I will be trying to earn my white plates too.
LOL, well this really took off. Like I said earlier, Larry is a solid dude. And I was VERY surprised to see him winning races as an amateur. He's fast on any track. I know this because I used to coach with him. I've ridden on about 5 different tracks with him, and he's faster than me on ALL OF THEM. Based on that information I don't buy the argument that he should keep his yellow plates simply because he only raced on one track last season.
Larry's not an asshole, I know the guy. But going to Daytona and racing against a bunch of guys who are spending a retarded amount of money to be there racing against other yellow plates when you know going in that you're faster then the vast majority of them, isn't cool. He earned his white plates, he's a mid pack expert racer (regardless of what times he ran at Daytona), I know this because I've ridden with him plenty.
I have nothing against him personally, it is what it is.
Go ahead and post a 2,000 word essay on why I'm an asshole, it doesn't matter, it changes nothing.
lets just race.
hey dennis its gus the guy with the blue R1 AM # 300
The rider in question, at least I am 90% sure it is, did not meet our requirements.

He did not meet the experience requirement.
Thank you Eric! Exactly what I was trying to say...one great race weekend or great track day at every track in the country while you are under NO pressure qualifies you to be an expert in ANY credible racing organization, on or off road, 2 or 4 wheels!
Hey Gus! Great results on Sunday! Wish I could have stayed to battle with you, as our race Saturday was alot of fun, I will pop in at a few other rounds that don't conflict with my 9 yr old daughters GNCC race schedule, just to see how I can do at real race tracks, I will PM you with my contact info. I heard there was some sandbagging going on this weekend. Personally, I don't mind the faster guys runing AM because it will only push me to go faster. If anyone had it bad this weekend, it would have been the EX class running with some AMA guys.

He needs to wack off before he posts like that!!
His post may have been a little over the top, but if we all have a friend that would jump into the fight on our behalf, we'd consider ourselves lucky.
Thanks Steve, my only REAL problem with Dave's original post was calling "harry" an asshole...it was inappropriate and uncalled for...especially if you know the guy, which Dave does....now for some real sandbagger news...check this guy out...Roberto Conception from Puerto Rico...in 2004 he ran away with the Expert Class Supertwins race on a Ducati 748...in 2008 he also won the Supertwins class on a 749, unfortunately against me on my 1098, I put up a fight, but he was REAL aggressive thru traffic...I feel better though because he beat me in the AM Supertwins class! That gentlemen, is sandbagging!
Here is a copy of my inquiry to Eric:
"Talk about cheaters...
Roberto Conception from PR was entered and won the Expert Super twins class in 2004

That's ok! It was a great race! Honestly, I had more fun in that race than my 3 wins, made me push that much harder, I will post the link to the on board video soon, rear was sliding around alot on the last 2 last trying to get a decent drive out of the corners! I'll get him next time!
check out the onboard video of the race!

No big deal. If he hasnt raced since 2004, thats 3 and a half years since hes been on a race bike. The rules state, 3 years and you can go back to amateur. I havent raced since 2004 or even been on a bike and got my amateur back this season. I commend Harry for beating me in the one race that he won. I started from the 5th row and was slowly realing him in, but just didnt have enough time and got 2nd. He ran a great race and nothing but my hats off to him
Shoot, I raced with Barry or Harry last year at Daytona. This year he was riding slower than last year, and last year there were faster guys than him at Daytona in novice. I stopped by and wished Zarry good luck, he really is a nice guy. 8)
As far as superbikes in f40, it was won in expert by an old guy on an 02 zuki ::)
