Title: Is it true?
Post by: firebolt on February 26, 2008, 07:56:30 PM
A friend tells me that the "Loudon Classic" motorcycle races traditionally held on "Father's Day" weekend is no more. It had become just a club weekend anyway, but prize money was increased and it was fun! Any thoughts on this rumor? Regards, Dan

I raced the AMA nationals at Louden in the 80's

It was HUGE.
Ton's of spectators, and an unruly crowd.
As an example: I remember the animals on the hill shooting bottle rockets at the racers during the Sunday morning practice session.
