Title: Mr. Daytona Returns
Post by: unter_kid on February 14, 2008, 09:16:37 AM
Should be interesting - I'm sure we all remember how his last trip to Daytona went.  I don't think it gets much worse than that.

I think the worse thing was that it was his second start screw up in the Daytona 200.  He did it in 1990 or so too.  Didn't get hurt so bad, but you'd think he would have figured it out the first time.

At least this time he won't have to worry about it being a pesky Ducati clutch  ::)

And our own little Rhiannon is his teammate for '08. Pretty cool for her.

Talked with him in line at the CCS registration booth, he is a funny dude.  He said who the heck highsides a 650?  He said he was ridding it like a supermoto, lay in on his knee and wack the throttle open :thumb:  Scott's still a favorite in my book.

Yeah, I was embarassed for him when I read he crashed, let alone highsided someone elses 650 in an endurance race. Some things never change.

He was hacking it in sideways in the MOTO-ST race all the way through both horseshoes. It was SICK! Not surprised at all that he finally tossed it.

Mr. Daytona still has some mad skills.
