Post by: BrettRay76 on January 25, 2008, 11:47:52 PM
Am I reading the rules right? I can now run my Aprilia 1000 twin in F40?
If so I my run Daytona after all.

Actually, Brett, 1000cc twins have always been Heavyweight Supersport bikes, so they have been legal.  Might even allow superbike spec bikes now, I thought that I read that, but not sure.

Well that's good. Even though I know I can't compete with the GSXR's. At Daytona I was about 5 sec. faster on the GSXR 750 than the Aprilia. But it would still be fun. But if all goes well I may have my light weight bike before then and run it.  who knows????

Hey, Brett, don't sell yourself short.  I almost won Unlimited GP at Gateway last year on my SV1000 in the try, I got second many times too in Heavyweight Superbike at Blackhawk.  Road America is a different story, but you know the deal:  ride the bike.

Did Ashmead and Luke ride for you last year?  Doing that again for 2008?

Yep. John only road the last race at Daytona on the second bike with me and Paul.
Luke, Estok and Darin James road the other bike. Woody road at VIR with me and is still real fast.
This year it looks like Estok, James and me. Only running bike.
