I guess we're all starting to get that itch to scrape body parts on pavement again. To try and give a little fix till the season starts, a couple of us hopped on our bikes and rode in to DC for the bike show. It was right chilly this morning. Weaved our way through the soup of streets that DC is, reached the convention center, and whatdya know, we surprisingly found enough roadracers there for a riders meeting! To top it off our photo bro, under the black hat, was there as well, and of course there were enough bikes for a full grid. I half expected to hear Griff start making calls. It was really great to see everyone, and unfortunately, instead of a fix, it just made us all miss the track even more. Every broken bone has been worth it to make these great memories from racing with all of you, we really are a family. I cant wait to see those palm trees and hear some bikes screamin wide open at Daytona...Of course I woud still enjoy the memories without the broken bones too, probably even more.
Art I wish I had been able to ride down there with ya, I too am excited about starting the season again. I did not realize how much I missed racing and talking to some of my racing buddies until I talked with one of my Ohio friends who I raced at Nelson with the other night and we talked about doing some endurance racing together. There are no friends like the ones you have in racing, the long winter only reminds me of it..Bob
I went. I had Fun. I met the Repsol Girl!
