I always have trouble logging onto this forum.
it says to check my cookies settings. not sure what that means or how to check it and what to look for if do check it
i choose to stay logged in forever and if i close my internet browser and reopen it a little while later i cant log on it happens all the time if i log onto the message board one time during the day i might not be able to get back on for hours. makes no sense to me
and i asked this question once before but nothing seemed to help
and when i get an email saying i have a pm i cant log on to check it till when ever the forum decides to let me on
any ideas?
Try clearing your cookies. Probably have to do it manually sicne I cant find a "Delete cookies" button on the main page.
i tried that but i still had problems log in on for about 20 minutes
I'll let Jeff know. May be a database issue with you account.
BTW what browser and OS are you using?
i go one line with Mozilla Firefox or internet explorer and use optimum online and a home page
seems to be working now
one time when i couldn't log on i click on Woofentino profile to send an email and there was an option to login for ever but it was on 60 minutes
i had already clicked on forever on the first login screen but for some reason this screen had 60 minutes unlike the first screen with forever checked off
Hmm. Weird.
i guess no one else has this problem
figures i don't get along with computers that well
but thanks for the help
Try shutting down the firewall. That would at least eliminate that if it still does it. Could be an isp thing also.
Gary, I checked the error logs to see if anything here is faulting on you and you're not generating any weird errors. I'm not really sure what to tell you on this.
it seems to be working now
Gary, here's another thing to check.
On the bottom of each page is a Page Creation time (such as - Page created in 0.087 seconds with 22 queries)
If the pages are creating in under a second the server is responding pretty normal. Sometimes it goes above 1 second if there is a LOT going on or if there's maintenance or whatever, but if your response is slow and the page creation time is good, there's something in the middle that's killing it.
they all seem to be under 1 second
but it has been working since i set the second setting for log in time to forever
