Going forward, can we have an "A" (for amateur) or an "E" (for expert), next to each person's name? It would help when looking through the lap times during AM/Ex combined races.

I haven't been on the page for a while, in addition to it not being updated, it hasn't been particularly valuable.
But didn't the numbers have an E or an A next to them? Maybe I'm just not remembering.
Your correct Dave, each class that I randomly looked at shows all the riders and after the riders number there is an 'A' or 'E'.
Not the ones I am looking at. Combined races (ie: unlimited superbike) shows both experts and amateurs on the same page. WIth no notes on which person is which
A link would help. I have raced Supertwins, and those are combined races that I'm drawing from in my memory. Maybe yours was a mistake?

It could have been something to do with that particular event. You could go to the results for that event and print out the results from the classes your interested in and look at that for reference when scanning the lap times (from what I've seen the actual race results are always divided between Amateur and Expert - like they are for that event as well).
Some have the E, and some don't. It all really comes down to how they associate the riders # to the transponder when at the track. Since CCS does not make the racers buy their transponder it makes it extremely hard to keep track of who had what transponder when.
If they had a system where they could assign a GUID (unique ID) to each rider and use that throught the riders career, then you would be able to associate lap times to the rider for all events throught their career.
It's just freehand text entry at the track at this point when assigning the transponders.
In short, if they enter E or A for the riders name when setting up the association to the transponder, then it's all good, if they do not, there is no way to know who's AM or EX based on the information coming back from the file that is output from the scoring system.

Does anyone here know if from the lapt times website there is a way to easily (rather than cut & pasting) download the times, perhaps to an Excel workbook or the like? I didn't see anything like that, but I'm not sure if I'm missing it.
If the functionality isn't there, it shouldn't be too hard to add, but I don't know if they have the time to spend modifying the site right.
