Post by: Johnny B on December 19, 2007, 04:34:20 PM
.....shot in 1920! (http://www.jockeyjournal.com/?p=235") The quality is equally amazing!

Kudos to Bruce Richmond for digging this link up and posting it to the USCRA forums.

Fixed the link for you.  Yeah, it is very cool.

If I had money, I'd like an old board track racer.  They are just cool.

I believe Randy Sullinger (GrecianFormula40) posted a link to the same myspace video on this board recently as well.

Quote"Film shows 10mls amateur race, 10mls sidecar race and 100mls professional race featuring Teddy Carroll and - among many other stars - Gene Walker on 8 valve Indian.
Film states this was at Daytona, which is a mistake because there are no records of a large board track in Florida. Most probably this was filmed at Sheepshead Bay, New York 2 mile board track on October 11th, 1919. Any help identifying location and date appreciated."
