Does anyone have the inside scoop on when the GP schedule will be finalized?
I understand that it's getting some finishing touches, like, this week. Dean's been making a move, a physical move from one place to another, and I think that's holding him back.
trying to finalize some things myself, as soon as this sucker comes out. always wanted to ride barber, looks like it's gonna happen this year.
Hey Jerm, looking forward to battling it out with ya at other tracks than just Hallett next season. Looking closely at the limited schedule info for the GP region I'd guess that at least a couple of the TBD dates will be at MPH and MAM.
No doubt I'll be doing the chasing ron.
I think the schedule sucks for GP this year. Looks like CMRA endurace may be what we do this year instead.
Is it up someplace?
Dave do you know where it is posted? I don't see it on CCS or TA's websites. tOm :spank:

No update since that was posted on Dec 5th.
It isnt listed, but im pretty sure they are supposed to be at Gateway August 17.
Yup, I heard that too, Ben.
Still, no actual Trackaddix GP program dates have been released. Too bad. People are starting to figure out where they are going to spend their money. Still don't understand the GP think at Barber either.

Spent any time with the GP people/org? I cant understand half the stuff they do.
I like the GP region and crew, sure beats what we had before. I think the schedule is going to look different than what's posted now.
Side note- I don't think some of the clubs had their schedules out till Jan or Feb last year so what's the rush this year?
I think the big thing at Barber this year was to increase attendance. I guess last year attendance was pretty low. I like the way Dean runs his events. Everything seems to run smoothly and if there is something that the majority wants changed he has been very accomodating.
I don't think there is any significant issues with the way GP is run. Dean is one of us and he tries to do things right. :thumb:
I say he doesn't get the credit he deserves. I can't think of any events in the other regions that are run significantly better. I can remember much worse events. I've never been to a CRA event that went as advertised.
I'll use RA as an example. RA this past season was a total fiasco. At sign up some of us who had faxed in entries were not confirmed for one reason or another and had to wait in line with event sign up for only two windows open to event sign up while the pre-reg windows were empty. Several hundered racers were in line. Sign up had to be several hours behind schedule due to these ill handled sign up issues. - this could have been eased by allowing event sign up to happen at the open but idle windows. The schedule wasn't anywhere close to what was published. Far too many of the races were red flagged. Races were moved to the next day causing me issues due to my schedule. Somehow bikes were allowed to run without being properly configured as Chris Ulrich demonstrated when he oiled down 1/2 the track on Sat. There was no weather delays. :wtf:
MCRA has a date for TrackAddix CCS GP race at Gateway on Sunday August 17th.
Also MCRA has a track day on Saturday 16th. the day B4.
See link; http://www.mcraracing.com/track.htm
Not really in the loop but I believe that some tracks changed things up last minute on Dean so he had to rework the schedule.
TrackAddix run's the best series around. It is well worth waiting a few more weeks till the schedules are official. The Gateway date listed is correct from my understanding so that only leaves 2 open dates. It will surely be MAM or Hastings.
I like GP because it's practice Sat race Sun. I'm not much on endurance.
Personally, I like having practice on Saturday and Sunday without having to pay extra. I don't know how long it will take to get the GP region events bigger, but more racers will cramp the schedule even more than it is.
As it is, I'm sure it's a financial burden to carry for the Trackaddix crew.
I prefer the 2 day format for racing too. Although I will say I'm impressed with what Trackaddix does in one day to get all the races off.
I will also second what was said about Dean listening and willing to change what is setup to make things better.

What he said. :thumb:
gonna be hard to make barber and come back to gateway a week later, but i'll find a way.
I'm still hoping that Barber is a misprint, or someone comes to their senses and realizes you can't expect club racers to finish racing Sunday afternoon, drive home 17 hours, and go to work on Monday.
i took monday off.
Call in well?
I've been communicating with Dean @ TrackAddix. Keep the faith my friends the schedule is coming soon.
Dean posted on his website <for the last couple months> that the schedule would be out in Jan 08. He told me it will be out shortly. The GP Banquet will be in the beginning of Feb in KC, I think Greg at CR is helping get that handled so it is happening. Dean will send out the details shortly. The Motomania deal for 2008 is also in the works so stay tuned. DucatiOmaha will again be helping out and hosting some of the events particularly track days. :thumb:
