Put up a new website, http://www.ronhix.com
I would really appreciate some feedback.
In addition to the latest news, etc. I plan to post a personal journal of this whole journey of winter prep , sponsorship stuff and racing details throughout the 2008 season.
I also plan to do write-ups at the end of each race weekend as well as on board video from each of the races.
Let me know what you think so far, constructive criticism is very welcome!
cool site :thumb: but how did you race as an am. last year and compete against a "current national champion" as stated on your bio page?
Ron, that's pretty cool. Concise, clean. I like it a whole lot. Maybe get a new 4&6 logo. Give me a shout via email, and I can send you one.
Nice site. Looks good. But please tell me you're not racing as an AM next year! I saw what you did to the AM field, and most of the EX's too at RA :kicknuts:.

Thanks for the compliment on the web site.
Dustin was the "current national champion" before I wrote the bio. I don't really have much race experience and I recognize my resume is very light in that area. This was my attempt to quantify to prospective sponsors my possible ability to be competitive next year.
Do you recommend I reword it some how? Do you feel it is inappropriate?

i dont know if its worth re-wording, just caught me off guard. to me, current champ means the 06 champ and he would be expert this year... i guess i would leave it, sell yourself as best as you can :thumb:
Finished #1 in a head to head race at Road America against the current 2007 C.C.S. National Champion
Finished #1 in a head to head race at Road America against the eventual 2007 C.C.S. National Champion ???? Just a thought...... :thumb:

Hey, I like that! Thanks Burt.
4 & 6 logos updated - Thanks Dave!
Bio verbiage updated - Thanks Burt!
Great website! All you need now is some onboard footage to go along with that awesome Road A. writeup.
P.S. I've got a bit of onboard footage of you from Putnam Park (10.14?), passing me going into turn 9, but that was only for some 7-10 secs before you disappeared into the distance :) - Good ridin'.

Thanks for the compliments! I really don't have much video at all. Would you maybe post that for me on youtube or something? I assume it is too big to email.
Thanks again!
Here ya go: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-4088271815819484216&q=Putnam+Park+10.14.07&total=1&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=0
Thanks for the video!
BTW, I have added some significant new content to the website, including several new sponsors.
If you live in the Chicagoland area, especially the western suburbs, you may want to check out a deal I have worked out with one of my latest sponsor that may be a real benefit to you.
The sponsor is Division One Performance (http://www.d1performance.com) / Core Fitness (http://www.corefitnessclub.com). All you have to do is go to my website (www.RonHix.com) and print out the RON HIX GROUP RATE COUPON (http://www.ronhix.com/images/corefitnesscoupon-ronhix.pdf) and then give it to Max Savar at Core Fitness. This will provide you the opportunity to take advantage of our group membership rate and you can get a full gym membership for only $50 A YEAR per person (plus a one time $20 processing fee per person), basically $5.83 a month for a complete membership!
Ron - I have worked with Synergy for about 2 years now - They have sponsored me for the past 2 seasons..... It has been hard to get in to see them since I have been running AMA full time... Tell Tammy - Dr.Jennifer Wise and Dr. Richard Lee I said hi. And that I plan to stop in as soon as I get a chance..... Tell Dr. Jen that Pat says hi as well
