Looks like it. Might try my hand at some AMA FX too. Nothing like waiting untill I get in my 40s to try AMA.

Wow, with the racer discount, it is actually affordable!

Unless you are already connected with a dealer,, probably won't be much if any of a racer discount if they turn out like the 1098 was and the dealers were able to sell every one they could get at full MSRP.

If I could get one for free, and get a sponsor! I would!

But I don't see that happening...  :wah:

Maybe a 848 and a 1098R for 2008. Being a dealer has its advantages!!!

F@ck, that means i have to chase you on an 1098R with my RC!
Sh!t
I think that f2's should be allowed in the LW classes

I can barely afford one myself. Now you can beat me when you bring out that R1 against my little 848. Luckily I won enough Ducati money this year to take a big bite out of it and a little help from the dealership. I'm looking for someone to sponsor me on a 1098R to do the ASRA Superstock series.

We take RC51's as trade-ins. I'm making a deal on a nice 06 749 being traded for a new 848. Maybe a 749 would work for you.

I may only get one new bike for next year. Plus I'll be racing in the lightweight classes too next season <if I can get light enough -70lbs since May> It's damn hard for an old guy like me to chase Becka, Anthony & Chris Chase around.

I'm keeping my 749 one more season since I just got three boxes of Larry Pegram FX hand me downs for it. The full titanium exhaust system is very nice. I'm going to have TJ at Ducati Milwaukee go through it this winter to find some more power.

I don't think a 1098 needs a lot more power. Race prep & diet and good riding should be enough.

Going to Hallett next week for a couple days. I can't go to long without gettin' a knee down. I get grumpy.

dont they have a 3 second head start for grandfathers in fx? or in arnie's case it should be that everyone else gets 3 seconds so they have a chance.

Arnie -- I for one would be happy to contribute to you purchase of an 848 if it keeps you out of the LW/TB classes for next year.
