Title: Blockworks Daytona Gig
Post by: Decreasing_Dave on February 21, 2003, 10:05:44 AM
OK, I read the posting on the website about the Blockworks Daytona Special.  It sounds really great and I want to participate.  One problem though.

How can I score 800 points in one class within my region when 1st place pays 65 points and I only have 10 races this season? :o  Not to mention that 2 of those races are AFTER Daytona.  :-/

Eric, help.

Also, I need to get my hands on those stickers.

Thanks,
D. Dave

It seems to me that the 800 points is combined for the region in all the races, not just one class. IE, if the first weekend you race MWSS, MWGP and MWSB and you win them all, you would get 195 points...

The site says:
To qualify for the "Blockworks Race to the Beach" program you must score at least 800 points in the CCS classes that count towards the Overall Points Championships (SuperSport, SuperBike, GrandPrix and the solo GT classes).

Yeah, well, that would make more sense.  I just didn't read it that way.

Thanks

You are forgetting double points and twin sprints weekends.
