Sad news to hear of Dwain Williams passing.
When I started roadracing in 1982, he was running Florida Gran Prix Riders Association and founder of BOTT.
Got my first racing license from him and FGPRA.
He would put on the event, do a school and then pull out his old Norton and usually battle for the win the classes he ran. He was very fast on that Norton. I'd see him pull in on the last lap so not to take someones trophy.
I had seen him at Jennings many times in recent years, he brought his vintage bikes to race and did well.
He was a real motorcycle enthusiast and a great motorcycle racer.
He will be missed.
I heard of his passing. Terrible news.
I didn't know he was involved in the FGPRA. I've got a sticker for that around somewhere.
indeed mr. williams was a geniunely nice guy. meet him at jennings in september. he liked to talk bikes and racing. kinda reminded me of bert munro. what a great example for guys like myself that think they got started racing too late. great meeting you dwain. may the roads in heaven be twisty and never ending.
here's to you dwain.

Very sad news. He died doing what he loved. He told me some cool stories about racing against Henry DeGouw back in the day. R.I.P. Mr Williams
