Do You want the ROC to be moved from Daytona?
yes lets move it
I would like to see it closer to the Midwest but I doubt what we say would make a difference. Who makes the call?
i would like to see it moved and i dont really care were too as long as its fair for everyone to have a shot at being competitive..
Why do you think it isn't fair now??? It's a track that you race bikes on - and nobody get's to ride it anymore then anyone else... Imagine if it were at BHF or any other local track - talk about an unfair advantage....
how about running the short course?

Scotty727, you hit the nail on the head there. It is the only track where regular regional races are not held, thus the only track where no one gets extra track time during the year.
I have read the other threads - I like Daytona for what it is.... Sure - a track that was more centrally located would be nice - but then there are other issues.... I have only been there twice - the first time I rode there was during the AMA stuff this March - I had never been there before - But I went there to race - and that's what I did.... Did I think I was going to have the fastest bike or be the fastest rider - NO - But I did what I could...I just got back from running the Moto-St event there on an Sv 650 - we ended up finishing 1 st in class and 11 th overall out of 45 bikes.... I think we were 2 nd or 3rd in the middleweight class... Laptime wise - I think we were some where around the 15 th fastest... (Sorry I can't put a link to the site cause they don't have the information posted)....But if you want to try WWW.moto-st.com (http://www.moto-st.com)
I didn't post on the "I hate Daytona" thread because I don't hate any racetrack - Tracks are there to challenge you as a rider - and Daytona is no different... If you can figure out how to do well there and use certain attributes to your advantage then you are learning how to be a better racer.....Which will translate to every other track in the country.... I like racing because you have to adapt and change - Daytona just happens to be one of those tracks....
A better poll would have been - "Who likes the idea of having one race decide a national championship?"
I know I would have responded to that poll....
Scott +1 for You,is a good read
You got point there
Having never been to Daytona, my reason to move it is purely lazy: I don't want to drive the distance! That is not a good enough reason though, huh?
VIR would be cool, but it would be cool.. was a HIGH of 45deg F this weekend. Gotta keep it someplace warm!

What? Last weekend was upper 70s. This weekend 60s with rain. 70s is average which is perfect for racing.
Run the short course in the Fall!!!!
