Title: Problem dealing with Dragon Skinz
Post by: clm2112 on October 09, 2007, 07:07:55 PM
Hi Y'all,

Just wanted to send out a warning to y'all regarding Jeremy Brown, and his Company Dragon Skinz bodywork of Chula Vista California.

In a word, don't deal with him.  Getting a set of fairings from him has been an exercise in frustration and a lot of profane abuse, all because he didn't ship the items the way he advertised.

Just trying to spare any other racer from this fellow.

Follow up,

Now he sending threatening emails that he is going to beat me up at the March races at Daytona.   So, like I said, y'all don't want to do business with this fellow.

Real shame, most everybody I've run into in this sport is pretty cool.  I guess there's always one bad apple.   Sorry, I don't know if he is a racer himself.

They sell their stuff on ebay for $350 a set or something like that. i remember I almost got a set. But Instead I got a deal (sponsorship) from armour bodies. Great stuff. Same price as sharkskinz, quality is the same if not better. go look up armour bodies. Its awesome stuff. I've tried Airtech, hotbodies (all crap, no offense to anyone). I liked sharkskinz and have had 3 sets. This time I wanted to try armourbodies cuz someone recommended it. Call them and ask for Barry. See if he can get you a "sponsorship". Tell them I sent you.

If what you say is true, I'm glad I didn't get a set.

I'll be @ Daytona. Maybe I'll see you get beat up there... LOL

Oh trust me, there's more than 1 bad apple out there...

It does pay to look around for a good reputation in the racing community.  Don't think anyone would have told you to rush out and buy this stuff if you asked here.

I'll take your word for it.  Like I said, my experiences with the racing community, save for the spat between AMA and CCS years ago, has always been positive.

There's always rivalry, so good natured, some not so, but dealing with this Jeremy Brown fellow is the first time I ever thought I am glad I keep a loaded shotgun next to the front door.  The sheer venom this fellow spit out over a shipping mistake that was his own fault just floored me.

Krishna:  Thanks for the info.  I'll keep it mind if I need another set later.  For them moment, another SVrider had a used set of Sharkskinz that he was looking to get rid of.

And maybe I should sell tickets to the altercation...might pay for my race weekend,  I'm sure the Daytona security gaurds would love to take a few cracks at him while waiting for police to cart him away ;-)
