Right now I've got 15/41. I'll mostly be running at Gateway, MAM, and hopefully maybe Blackhawk. Any suggestions for these tracks? TIA... ;)
Haven't gotten around to trying any gearing changes. I was going to start with 15/40. 15/41 will probably work pretty well for those tracks, unless it causes some bad shift points.
MAM is the only track of those I've been to, and the short straight between 4 & 5 was the only place I really redlined. If I went up a gear it was just for a moment, so I usually just redlined it there. Getting rid of the soft limiter might address that, but I also plan to be going a lot faster than I was. ;D

Disconnect the soft limiter.
A 15,16 front, 40,41,42 rear should be a good selection for the RC.
I've already got the wire to defeat the limiter; it'll be done soon. Thanks for the gearing advice. ;)
16 Front, 42 Rear. :o
You will have to add a link to the chain. :P
Work on the Brakes up front too. :-/
Put the thing an a major diet. ???
PS. Want to sell it? 8)

I put ss lines on immediately after I bought it; will be replacing pads before I hit the track.

The rider is the one in need of major dieting. ;)

Rotors will have to wait. I've got too many other things I need to spend $$$ on first. Thanks for the advice though, I need all I can get! ;)
Hey, If I can help you anymore feel free to contact me. ;D Also, Ive' got alot of "like new" stock take-offs, and extra spares from my RC if your looking for stuff. See ya at the track 8)
I may call on you sometime. I'm getting close to having my "necessities" but don't have spares built up yet. Thanks!
I suggest going with the 9/66 gearing so you can do wheelies with the giggleheads. ;D

You forgot to sign your post "King of the Darwins".
Hey, are you going to be at BHR this weekend?
See ya there. :)
Not going to make it to BHF. Going to track days at MAM this weekend. Hopefully I'll be racing with CCS in May...

I'm doing trackdays at VIR April 21-22, not getting back until the 23rd. Don't know if I'll be able to make another long drive to WI that next weekend.
I ran AM Supertwins last August at RA and won. 15 front and 42 rear. Stock chain just a bit shorter on wheelbase. I hit the RPM max on the home stretch but only just before the pit exit. I don't think it hurt my time much. The RC is geared tall to begin with. This year I switched to a 520 chain with 15/41 gears and new exhaust and PCRIII and marchesini cast rims. (See my post on RC woes) I desperately hope to make it to RA seeing that I pre-paid and all. Hope to see everyone there. I pit near the gas pump.
how you doing with you parts inventory? Are you going to make it to BHR still? E-mail me before you go, If I get enough stuff headen up their to be sold at one time, I'll make the trip.
