I don't think that our original spiderchick is in jeopardy, but, a certain "starter" swallowed a spider Sat night while walking to her Cadilac. She made her big mistake by returning to the camp fire and telling a certain announcer about it. She really didn't think that that announcer would let that alone for long, did she? Phil Saberna said the poem has changed to "The itsy bitsy spider wend down inside her"! No meatball flags next year! Instead, you'll be captured by a hand thrown web from the bridge and then dragged off the track! :boink:
Had a great season in 07 and hope to see many of you in Daytona!
Grant
The strangest thing about that certain starter is that she doesn't have to use a spinning wheel anymore to spin thread together. I think I even seen her climbing up the outside of the tower before I left on Sunday.
My dad used to sing me a song about a woman just like her:
I knew a lady who swallowed a fly,
I don't know why she swallowed the fly,
perhaps she'll die...
I knew a lady who swallowed a spider,
That wiggled and wriggled and giggled inside her,
She swallowed the spider to catch the fly,
I don't know why she swallowed the fly,
perhaps she'll die...
The lady followed up by swallowing a cat to catch the spider, a dog to catch the cat, and a horse to catch the dog. She eventually dies.
However, I do not recommend that course of treatment.
Wow Alexa, I haven't used drugs in years, but after reading that I felt like I was on them again :wtf:

It was my dad that must have been doing the drugs. I did grow up in the 60's and 70s!
So, Grant, do we present the "Head Smucker" with a jar of Smuckers jelly, or a can of silly string at the banquet?

That would be funny! I hope to remember to do that!
Yikes, every time I read the subject line of this post I think, "Ooh, Alexa's going to have a baby....?" :err:
Anyone else suffering from race withdrawals already? This is going to be a very very long off season.
