Title: How are performance points calculated????
Post by: SV88 on September 17, 2007, 09:49:16 PM
I think that a first is worth 1000  pts, 2nd 833 etc. but doesn't CCS take into account the size of the field?  I'm have a lack luster 545 perf. rating which indicates that I'm a midpack amateur right???

The performance index does reflect the number of riders.

if you were racing against 1000 people a win would be 1000 2nd would be 999 3rd would be 998 etc.
if you were racing against 4 people a win is 1000 2nd is 750 etc. its basically a percentage of the field multiplied by 1000 at the simplest form

Think of it as your batting average.
