I was doing a bit of sanding and I forgot to put on long sleeves before I started and now I itch like hell. Anyone got a cure to get rid of this crap
Maybe to late now but shower with cold water .
The cold water closes pores and rinses glass off insted of opening pores as hot water will.

After you wash off, slather the affected area with 1% hydracortizone (sp) cream. It is not a cure but should relive the itching some
Rinse with hot water. Than rinse off with cold water and wipe you're arm from you're shoulder to the hand. Hot water opens the pores, cold water rinses off the fiberglass. Do not rub.
Ouchymama... That sucks. BTDT. Douh.
I have never been able to figure out why, but I work with the stuff all the time and I am never bothered by the dust making me itch. I will caution any working with fiberglass to us a respirator and not just a dust mask when sanding, the stuff is tough on the lungs
Go this form Owens Corning (and if any company should know it would be them) Rinse with white vinegar. Works on clothes as well.
It only lasts about 1.5 days anyhow. So just suck it up cowboy!
I'm fine now....thanks ::)
