Out of curiousity, anyone know the lengths of the front straight at BHF or RA?
BTW, is BHF 1.95 or 96 miles?
RA is 4.08, right?
I thought that BFR was 1.95. RA 4.0 But even then I don't know ehere they are measuring that.
Then the question becomes how does it relate to a motorcycle. As you lean over, the tire circumfrance is smaller, so each revolution covers less distance.
The lengths of the straight, I don't know.
What are you using it for? You're not trying to out tech yourself are you?
Not sure of the lengths of the straights. You may try their web sites, some tracks list the info about the track.
I checked the sites, didn't find anything.
SDave,
Seriously, I'm just curious. Someone on the WERA board mentioned RA having the longest straight in the US, and that got me thinking about just how long it really is. Then, I wondered about BHF.
Just curiousity. Not trying to figure out gearing, or tire revolutions, or anything like that, etc.
So, definitely not trying to out-tech myself in this case.
The front straight at Brainerd is 5200 feet. I don't think any of the straights at RA are longer.

Usually, you've got to call for that info...if anyone you talk to can even find it. RA is the longest track in North America. And Brainerd is way long for the front straight.
Blackhawk is "short", but it is a resonably typical race track when compared to some regional tracks.
