So, is the $195 "Overnight Parking" the same as the camping near the east banks that was available last year and earlier this year? At the time, camping in the area near the east banks was included with the $50 pit pass. I don't remember there being any "sites" or much organization. In fact it was quite empty. I don't think it was advertised as available. Just curious if this is the same area, just that they are charging for it now...
thanks
They had tents out there in March. The three places that they offerred then was out side turn one, by the lake and in the camping area by the north pits.
I have a super slow connection and in a rush this morning so I am not able to check the mailer but I think this $195 deal is referring to the special only available to competitors to stay in the driver/owner lot by the Nextel garages.

Judging from the map, the "overnight parking" south of the yellow garages is near the int'l horse shoe? So it is not the same as the camping area near the east banking, between tunnel #4 and the chicane, aka the "Orange Special Parking Area".
Last year I camped in the "Orange Special Parking Area". This area was open to all persons holding an infield+pit pass.
Aparently it was also open to the infield/pit pass holders earlier this year during bikeweek, but it was not advertised.
I called DIS back in January but they couldnt get me an answer on camping in the track. So I camped at a local campground nearby. Thats when I later found out that camping in this area (orange spec parking area) was allowed.
Anyone know if we can camp here this year? Will the infield+pit pass get us in? Please let me know.
thanks
