Title: When can we expect the BHF 7/28-29 lap times?
Post by: SV88 on August 08, 2007, 08:56:07 AM
The race results were posted promptly which was great but how about the laptimes?  Essentially where the rubber meets the road.  I'm particularly interested because I had my first below 1:20s just before the F40 LW crash into into T3 (anybody have photos or footage - the bike clearly went end over end although I was too busy being side swiped by another rider to tell).  Next day all I could manage was 123-4 in the first race and then some 1:21 in the second.

thks

steve.

Might as well forget about lap times. They still haven't posted Summit July 7-8, or Shenandoah.

Not 100% sure what the issue is but when Kevin has access to the MA computers this weekend. He is going to attempt to retrieve the inforamtion to be sure it is posted for the Summit and Shenandoah events.

As for BHF lap times only part of the needed inforamtion was forwarded so Kevin will be traveling to the next Blackhawk and will get the rest of the files to be able to connect names to transmitters and the corresponding laptimes for that event.

Sorry guys those files are only electronic while results files are paper based as well so in the times that we might have a disk erased in shipping we can and do regenerate the results manually to post.

I walked up to scoring and asked for my times. They will print them out for you at the track if you ask nicely and bring flowers.

and if you offer to take the ladies downstairs out for supper they'll give you a transponder that shaves seconds off your time.   :thumb:

The times didn't get any better since it was raining all weekend except the end of the day on Sunday. The track was still damp for the last couple races. I believe Brian & I posted a few mid/low 11's with the damp conditions yet.
I do know that in July I posted a 10.110 and Brian posted a 10.241. We were flying that weekend but it sucked because we ran into traffic on only the 2nd lap since they combined the AM/EX races. I thought that was a bunch of sh#t since we almost wrecked a few times not knowing where to go around them.
I think the whole go home early sh*t is uncalled for by combining both EX &  AM races. Remember the Experts are experts for a reason. It only makes racing more dangerous for all of us.
We get pissed cause of riders choosing erratic lines around the track and the amatuers hate the experts because we pass too close. Sorry but we have no freaking choice. We are trying to beat the other guy too!
New rule: no classes should be combined ex/am period! Lap times will drop for us and we'll cause or be in less crashes and the amatuers will be less scared!
It's not our problem if CCS doesn't have enough riders to fill grids. If the grids were full they would have to run the races not combined anyways and we still get them all done. So give us the race we paid for and deserve to run.

Plus the last weekend in the rain conditions they combined 2 expert races that I was in and it resulted in me racing back to back for 3 races! What a joke. We had to go get our bikes teched inbetween those races, fill gas and while the weather conditions were changing we also had to change our tires. So tires never got changed and some riders didn't even make the field such as Shawn Conrad. WTF!
All so we could leave early.
For CCS's FYI I don't want to leave early. I want to race the races I paid for fairly! I propose a rule change for next season to prevent more needless injuries!
Just my 2 cents!
