Title: Help identify this banjo nipple thingy....
Post by: tomholiday on August 02, 2007, 12:04:47 AM
Was just installing some new lines and when I pulled the old one off I found that my banjo has a nipple and the new line doesn't fit  :wtf:

(https://www.ccsforum.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi78.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fj112%2Ftomholiday%2FDSC03751.jpg&hash=dbc34e34c54bb91926f467215956bd026a95f02b)

Does anyone know what this type of banjo is called or what is the proper fitting for it?

Thanks

Well, to me, it looks like a Earl's fitting for making custom lines. I've used Earl's products when I made my own stainless lines. You would buy bulk stainless brake line and cut it to the correct length. You then used their fittings and presto, custom length brake lines.

I don't think it's a Earl's fitting but it looks real close. I don't remember theirs being anodized like that. Also the nut is different.
