Yes you folks are correct. AHMRA does have a pretty cool formula for all kinds of twins based on there f1,2,3 rules. However the rules are not as radical as I propose for an ASRA class of racing. I realize that ASRA is trying to up hold local club racing, and thats very important. But this is just a thought for ASRA to offer a class that AMA Pro Racing would never have the balls to offer. Who knows, maybe AHRMA could do it and attract pro riders. This is just my thoughts on how get away from this "spec racing" shit that has poisoned all sorts of racing today. I liked it when the best ideas ruled the day, not "blanket rules" to enhance "good close racing". Remember, its all about the motorcycles, not the riders! [in my opinion] Regards, Dan
I raced the Gingerman AHRMA round this year. It was a totally different experience than a CCS weekend. Much more relaxed and laid back. The grids were a little thin in the BOT classes, but still had some strong competition at the front.
They draw big fields for Daytona and Mid-Ohio (which is this weekend).

People went to Laguna to see Stoner, Rossi, Hopper, Nicky, etc.
Put me on an M1 or the Ducati MotoGP bike. Few would care.
I think it is about the riders. People even show up to club races to see people they know race, not to see a GSXR1000 race. Or even a 999.
Supertwins already has an open rules structure that allows a XBRR and other really cool bikes to be raced and modified above their factory specs. What more do you want?

Havent you heard? My sv is really trick. I was afraid of getting beat by supersport bikes so i built a 74 horsepower superbike to haul my 6'6 230 lb ass around, its super fast and really its the only reason I win. :biggrin:
